Autumn is hands down my favorite season of the year. Not only is the weather perfect, but it always has the best clothing options. Now, I love a nice spring dress as much as the next girl, but autumn is just the perfect backdrop for gorgeous clothes. Even though it’s still the middle of August, most stores/designers have already put out their fall lines, and there is just so much that I am loving that’s out there. If only I had a disposable income…
So here is what I love about this year’s fall fashion:
Deep, rich color palettes in hues like purple, red, green, blue, mustard yellow. All of the clothes below are from J.Crew’s fall collection, which has a lot of very simple styles in bold colors.

Knee socks or over-the-knee socks over tights. I can’t really find a good picture of this though.
Bright colored jeans and cords. And yes, I still like them skinny; wide-leg jeans just look terrible on short people. Below: by BDG, from Urban Outfitters.
Lace-up pumps, stacked heel pumps, anything oxford or spectator style. (first row) The first two are from Chie Mihara and available at Anthropologie, as are the third and fourth. The fifth shoe is Marc by Marc Jacobs. (second row) first two are from Frye, but all three are available at Urban Outfitters.

Berets. I’ve been hand-knitting a ton of these, they’re so fast and easy! Ones below are from Urban Outfitters.
DIY fashion! My sewing machine has been collecting dust recently, so I’m trying to get re-motivated (at least somewhat) before college by buying some sewing books.

Heyyyy! Nice blog you have here!
I own that book “SEW U”
I didn’t know you sewed! What are you going to do when we get to Swat? Do they have sewing machines? *tear*
